Mr. Trung Trinh, President of the US-Vietnam Business Council (UVBC) just concluded the first UVBC business mission that ran from Oct. 27 to 31, 2022 in Vietnam. The mission’s objective were to introduce UVBC to the business communities in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City. It was also to form a supporting network with various Vietnamese organizations/agencies for future business development.
The mission started with a Vietnam-US Business Roundtable Discussion organized by the Vietnam US Society in Ha Noi on Oct. 28, 2022 where the UVBC delegation met with an extensive number of Vietnamese companies to exchange business information and to understand the needs of Vietnamese SMEs.
The UVBC delegation - including Mr. Sean Lam, Chair person of UVBC Business Development Committee and Dr. Uyen Nguyen, Advisor on AgTech Development - also met with a number of agencies in charge of International Relations of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance to discuss forthcoming projects that UVBC could support, develop and implement in conjunction with Vietnamese partners.
Last but not least, the UVBC delegation also met with Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh, Executive Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) who has expressed VCCI’s willingness to support UVBC ‘s mission and objectives. Mr. Nguyen also outlined a number of specific projects that UVBC and VCCI could collaborate on while promoting further cooperation between Vietnamese and American Small and Medium-sized Enterprises ̣(SMEs).
Considering the vast support from organizations in Vietnam, the UVBC executive team has decided to organize a second Business Mission during March 2023. The focus will be to provide American SMEs with opportunities to identify and develop business projects within Vietnam, especially in IT and AgTech industries.

Washington DC – Mr. Trung Trinh, President of the US-Vietnam Business Council (UVBC) met with an Investment & Trade Delegation from Phu Tho Province on Aug. 22, 2022 in Washington DC.

Washington DC – Mr. Trung Trinh, President of the US-Vietnam Business Council (UVBC) led a group of UVBC members to meet with the Hon. Nguyen Quoc Dzung, Ambassador of Vietnam to the US on July 15, 2022.
The meeting objective is to introduce the Council and its services to the Ambassador. It is also to ask for the support from the Ambassador and the Embassy staff on the council future activities .
In addition to the Ambassador, participants from the Embassy staff included Mr. Bui Huy Son, Mr. Do Hung, Counselors of the Vietnam Trade Office, and Mr. To Tuan, Counselor of the Chief Economic Officer.
Besides Mr. Trinh, the Council President, members of the Council participated in the meeting included: Mr. Kevin Morgan, CEO of Academic Language Solutions, Guilford, CT, Mr. Sean Lam, VP of International Programs of IM Systems Group, Rockville, MD, Mr. Ken Cooper, Chairman of the Access American Education, Philadelphia, PA and Dr. Uyen Nguyen, CEO of Agriculture & Automation Services based in Quang Trung Software Park, HCM City, Vietnam.
The meeting was concluded with the Ambassador's remarks that the Embassy of Vietnam in the US will be willing to support UVBC in carrying out any project that promote and strengthen the Vietnam-US relationship in business cooperation as well as in cultural, educational exchange programs.

A Vietnam IT Delegation of 24 companies had visited the Silicon Valley on July 2020. In addition to participation in a number of IT Development workshops, the delegation was also welcome by Mr. Joe Hedge, Director of the International Relations of San Jose City.
The delegation was organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with Vietnam Resource Group, a UVBC member.
On May 23, 2019, The Vietnam - US Society in Ha Noi hosted a Vietnam US Business Roundtable to provide opportunities for over 25 companies and organizations to exchange information and experience in business cooperation between Vietnamese and American companies.
On June 30, 2017, A delegation of 12 Agricultural companies from Vietnam visited a number of farms in Salinas, a salad bowl of California to learn of agri product production and distribution. During the visit, the delegation was also introduced to the Western Growers Center of Technology to learn of new AgTech Development. The delegation was led by Mr. Nguyen Tri Ngoc, Vice President of the Federal of Agricultural Associations of Vietnam.
On Oct. 20, 2017, under a cooperation between the Vietnam IT Organization ̣VNITO and the Vietnam Resource Group, a first Vietnam-US AgTech Conference was organized in HCM City participated by over 100 agri-related companies. In addition to a networking session, the Conference offered various workshops on AgTech Development in the US and in Vietnam .
